Why is it that business owners take so little time to create a message that lands in the heads of their target audience? Hmmm.... to much to do, too hard to do, too many advertisers offering in-a-box advertising solutions - some with WAY too much space!
Example: We have a mid-week supplement that is delivered through the mail. It's only several pages of newsprint. They offer the entire front page to growing businesses. Those businesses ALWAYS use ALL the space instead of carving out a message that might settle nicely in the consciousness of their potential customer. They spill their guts on the page, telling the world everything about themselves except how they are different - concentrating on telling, telling, telling - not realizing that most people will look at all that print and shut down immediately.
Ah... the assumptions that trip us up.
